an investigation on heavy metals bio-sorption by azolla filiculoides in the international anzali wetland

چکیده
the ultrasound assisted emulsification microextraction (usaeme) method followed byinductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (icp-aes) was used for preconcentration anddetermination of bismuth (bi), indium (in) and lead (pb) in the plant azolla filiculoides lam. calix [4] pyrrole was used as a chelating agent and tetrachloroethylene was selected as extraction solvent. the main parameters of the usaeme method were optimized by using response surface methodology (rsm). the optimal conditions were as follows: 130 μl for volume of extraction solvent, 4 min for sonication time, 6.75 (w/v %) for salt concentration, 890 mg/l for concentration of chelating agent and 7.5 for ph. the calibration graphs were linear in the range of 1-1500 μg/l for bi and in, and 1-1000 μg/l for pb with the determination coefficients (r2) of 0.9983, 0.9974 and 0.9997, respectively. the limits of detection (lods) for bi, in and pb were 0.57, 0.76 and 0.84 μg/l, respectively. under the optimal conditions, the method was successfully applied to the determination of bi, in and pb in azolla filiculoides lam. tissues in anzali wetland and satisfactory relative recoveries (94–97%) were achieved.

متن کاملSpatiotemporal assessment of some heavy metals in the Anzali International Wetland during 2007-2014
Background: Todays, water resources are affected by various factors such as organic materials, pathogens (bacterial and microbial agents), and minerals (including heavy metals). For this reason, continuously examining the spatiotemporal changes in environmental pollutants is one of the most critical components of water quality studies. Methods: The sampling of some heavy metals (Ni, Cd, Z...
متن کاملEcological quality assessment of Anzali wetland for heavy metals using heavy metals pollution index (HPI)
Background and Objective: Research has shown that assessing the toxicity and ecological risk of various types of pollutants, including heavy metals, using specific indicators, is indispensable in the ecological risk assessment of the ecosystem. Accordingly, the aim of this study was the assessment of the ecological effect of heavy metals presence (Pb, Zn, Cu, Cd and, As) in Anzali wetland using...
متن کاملInvestigation of Heavy Metal Contamination in the Surface Sediments of Anzali wetland in North of Iran
Over the last few decades, Anzali wetland has been at risk of pollutants, especially from heavy metals. The present research analyzes some physical and chemical properties and heavy metals concentration in 27 points in nine stations of Anzali wetland. The samples of each station have been mixed, acidic digested, and analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The mean con...

متن کاملHeavy Metal Contamination in the Sediments of Anzali International Wetland, Northern Iran Based on Type Regional Development
Background: The most important factors and problems threatening the Anzali Wetland are the contaminant load and sediments entering the wetland, as well as lack of an integrated management plan for this wetland. The main objectives of the current research were to explore whether there are significant differences in concentrations of Zn, Cd, and Pb in surface sediments among different sites (base...
